Just News...

So I was reading over the comments in Franks post and they seemed very harsh. Particularly hostile from Greg and Anne. The reference to Phoenix Wright was just a joke(and he never actually said that he was going to chose that game.

Anyways. I have EXCELLENT news. I got my marching band letter! And the theme for our field show is music from the band QUEEN! Queen!!! I'm so excited! One of my best friends just recently switched to mellophone so she'll be in my section this season! Also Queen is looking pretty amazing since our last field show was "American Folk Songs". yeah...

Other happy news. I also saw mamma mia and WALL-E. Which actually happened last week...I liked WALL-E though. Once you get past all it's save the earth messages.

*Band camp coming up

*School's just about it eyesight now. (Sophomore!)

*I'll be driving in January-February.

*Watching brotherhood 2.0

Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Phrank: Welt-free!

Siblings, I have a question for you. What's it like to get punished? I don't know since I've never been punished. Which makes me the only sibling not to miss a post or break any of the rules. The closest I've ever come to violating the rules was a slight debate on swearing. As we conclude the 7th month of posting, it's an honor to be that guy, that guy who follows the rules.

Manny Ramirez got traded today, and it looks like so far that the Red Sox were quite determined to get rid of him. Looks like Hansen and Moss got sucked into this maelstrom of a deal, which I think kinda sucks, I liked watching Moss play. Though this guy, Bay, that we're picking up looks like he'll be really good for the us, so I'm glad. It will be very strange watching the Red Sox and not having Manny being Manny. The comparison of this trade to Nomar's trade in 2004 is interesting. I didn't really watch much baseball back in 2004, so that trade had little impact on me. I remember our cousin Jake Traynor was devastated by it. I wonder what he thinks of the Manny deal.

We've gone too long without a challenge, 2 full weeks, so here's an easy one for next week. Pick the video game you hate the most, and explain why. At least one sentence to identify the game and one sentence elaborating why you hate the game. Please vote in your comment on my post. I'll give you a hint, I will certainly be wright to pick it as my favorite, and this game won't be rising from the ashes of its miserable existence.

This was fun and annoying at the same time

It's always good to try new things, so I'm taking Frank's suggested punishment. If I can find the means, I'll post a video blog like some of my favorite Youtubers. But I'm running out of ideas, so here's some nifty links for you all!

This is for Greg (MWhahaha).

I saw this, and immediately thought of Bill.

I think this one is for Frank: maybe it'll be an online version of his clix thingy.

Here's a little link I found- it made me think of Liz, for some reason.

I am a hero

I just want you all to know the awesomeness of me is even better. I am a hero in the eyes of the American public. I gave blood the other day, actually a double red donation. This donation is where the blood you give is given back minus the red blood cells. It takes a little longer and I have a longer time till I give again but it was cool to do. They pumped me full of saline solution as I gave which got me really cold. Let's put it this way, in 90 degree heat it took me over an hour to warm up. Anyway I'm here at the Al lens it is Jon's last night here before he goes to Texas so that's why I'm posting so late. So be a hero and serve or donate some blood.

Upping the Ante

For those who won't bother with the video:
1) Happy Birthday Anne.
2) While I like the hypertext punishment, I think this needs to be an actually challenge.
3) Thus, Anne needs to do a video blog (vblog) post similar to Brotherhood 2.0 style. My post is in that style, though much shorter. So at least 15 seconds! But more the merrier.

I believe the the ante has been raised.

Books

Hello. How is the family this week? I’m doing pretty well. I’m bird sitting my friend’s parrot for a few days so that is exciting. I also have this super amazing plan that I can’t tell anyone what it is yet. Someday though…

And the other side of things I’ve been concerned about what I’ve been reading lately. My taste in books seems to be not quite it used to be. The last book I bought was Gulliver’s Travels (which makes me think of Animal Farm). And maybe that book is good. But is it a good summer book? The other book I bought is a non-fiction novel about the Ebola virus. Good-job Liz. Pick a book out that has Stephen King saying it’s horrifying right on the back. At least I don’t read all those crappy teen novels anymore. Thank God I’m over that stage in my life. (The magazines are harder to not love though.) The solution to my problem is fairly simple. I could go ask Anne for advice or browse the bookcases downstairs. But I guess because it’s summer I want a flashy book*. Y’know a book that looks really cool on the outside and you feel good reading it regardless of the actual text inside. It’s the summer heat that makes me think this way. So let us break this down.

  • Liz has been reading some not-so-great summer reading material
  • She is over bad teen novels (but not magazines)
  • She wants a flashy book
  • She doesn’t want to spend any money

Looking over the bullets it hit me. What’s flashier than a really good looking book? A book you’ve written yourself of course! So I have decided to write a novel. Or a really long short story. Then I’ll make a really cool cover that’s a collage of hippy/emo avatars (see my desktop wallpaper). Brilliant. My only problem now is what to write about. But that is trivial matters, the most important part is I know exactly what the cover will look like. The stuff inside of it will come via epiphany. Of course suggestions are really great too. So..comments?

*A flashy book is (my definition) a book that has really cool cover or and the plot of the story is impressive. A flashy book is also a book that gives you street credits. Having one of those shiny medals on the front helps too.

Phrank: Starship Troopers and Katamari Damacy

Well, it's been a relatively uneventful week. Minus the severe thunderstorm warning and tornado warning yesterday. I played through Katamari Damacy again, it's still a lot of fun, and I opened up two of the eternal maps, it's always nice to roll around without a time limit.

I watched the entirety of Starship Troopers today, better movie than I remembered it being. Not quite as good as the Roughnecks tv show, but still pretty good. I always liked the premise, humanity fighting for survival against the bugs from outer space.

In other news, my D&D books shipped today, they should arrive on the 29th, which is pretty cool. Work is going well, still in training and all that.

I'm going back to school on August 24th, which is pretty exciting. Unfortunately the captain's retreat to start training is to go paintballing, and not going back to Six Flags. So I'll probably just skip it and figure out something better to do. Anne's birthday is this Saturday, congrats. Lisa's engagement tea party is this Sunday. I'm pretty tired, so I'm gonna wrap this up.
1. Anne's punishment should be to post with a hyperlink in each sentence, so a minimum of 5 links OR she can't veto the next challenge issued by someone other than Anne.
2. Greg, how am I supposed to play Phoenix Wright when you take the DS away? If you really want me to play it, then tell you it sucks, I need to at least borrow the game, if not the DS as well.
