Colin Powell on Meet The Press

I have to step back and post about a serious topic this week. Yes, it's about Politics... but feel I need to talk about this.

Colin Powell was on Meet the Press this week.
Yes, he's supporting Obama.

That's not the story. It's WHY he's supporting him and the reasoned rationale behind it that blows me away. It's a moment of clarity which is badly needed in this country at this point.

Liz, I'm entrusting to you to make sure Dad sees this.

Did you have to post the whole 47 minute video for the whole show? There's gotta to be shorter version somewhere...

Greg,
Frank's right, couldn't you hi-light the major issues, then if we wanted to spend about a hour we could watch it. I'm on Christina & Dustin's computer and the speakers make Colin sound like he's a munchkin from the lollipop land!

PS. I heart you!

I found his reasoning for supporting Obama a bit, flat, to be honest. He spends more time praising both candidates and critiquing the Republican party than asserting his choice of Obama over McCain. Still, a fascinating interview, thanks for posting it.

You didn't have to watch the entire show. Powell was the first part of it.

Though it would be nice to have someone to talk to about the show.

FYI
McCain is the guest this week.
