Hi everyone! Not too much going on this week. I've been sick, still, and after calling out sick for a day, I finally went to the doctor's ( it had been 4 years since I set foot in that place.) She put me on some antibiotics ; azithromycin, more commonly known as a Z-pack. It's 5 daily doses. The first day I take 2 pills, then 1 each day after. I've only taken it once before for bronchitis. The next day I felt a lot better. I just hope Greg doesn't get it.
It's supposed to snow tonight. Seems like every time I blog it snows......and I still hate snow.... and Liz, you can't change my mind.
Tomorrow Greg and I have a 1:30 appointment for our engagement photos. I'm thinking of wearing my baby doll black dress. Greg is going to wear his suit and one of his new shirts and a tie I got him for Christmas.
I'm trying to get the house cleaned up for the UFC pay-per-view party Greg is having next weekend. I'm in charge of the catering, so I'm going to do a few dips, Chinese chicken wings and Reese's peanut butter cup brownies.
My mom got me the official recipe for the A&W root beer pulled pork, so within the next few weeks I'd like to try that. I made another batch of beans, this time I used ham stock, and it came out awesome! I don't know if it's because I let them cook for 2 days, or just the ingredients.
I still would like to find some time where all of us girls can get together and cook. I know everyone has a different schedule, but just something to think about. I know I've offered Anne cooking lessons =-) by the second time you cook something, it just comes natural. Heck, I even got Greg cooking things he probably never would have tired (he makes a fantastic version of Greek spinach pie, it was so good, my mom LOVED it --- and she usually only eats the authentic stuff).
So that's all for now. I wish everyone an awesome week!

My Hidden Talent?
um...Hello?
So I was kind of disappointed this week to find that there was little response to the topic that my last post was centered around (but thank you frank for mentioning it!). If you thought I was joking about it and all, well, I wasn't. We really need to have a little chat outside of cyberspace. More details on that will be taken care of by me. Expect an e-mail!
Random Stuff With Me
Moving along...So my week has been, ew. I have tons of midterms to prepare for next week. I'm freaking out a bit. And I'm just in general very busy. I don't know why but it's like every week there's something I'm doing, or going to, or preparing to go to! It's fun though, and I'll be less stressed after these horrible midterms. Oh, and I have a new favorite show!!! BONES!!!! I'm getting addicted. Does anyone have it on dvd? Can I borrow it? (chances are nobody here has heard of it.)
Oh and on Saturday I'm going to attend this workshop on finding your "hidden talents" which I am all over like white on rice. Will it be hilarious? Eye-opening? Who knows? (I'll have to fill you guys in on my results in my next post.)
Have a great week!!!

Frank: Oh No! Kobolds Ate My Baby!
That's right, I just found this website after reading the list of things Mr. Welch is not allowed to do in RPGs. Kobolds ate my Baby . It looks entertaining, especially for you, Anne.
We still need to figure out what changes we want to make to the blog. Something needs to be done, to revitalize the fun part of the blog. Again, I wonder if we've passed that point of bringing the blog back.
On a lighter note, I sent my manuscript out to a publisher this past Tuesday, and should hear in about three months. People at home, keep an eye out for a postcard addressed to me, that will be how they let me know my manuscript has been received. I sent it out to DAW books, a science fiction publisher owned by Penguin.

*headdesk*
This is my last week at the crappy retail job, so naturally, I've been doing anything and everything they can find for me to do. Including re-doing the project I just finished. But after tomorrow, things should be better. Tomorrow I get to get up before dawn in about 10 degree weather with biting winds to unload 400 boxes on an icy sidewalk. So like I said- after that, it's a cakewalk.
I took a quiz, "What kind of badass are you?" and my result was Korben Dallas. I was pretty pleased with that.
I will do both story and CD, but not now! Let me get through this week and the next, which will involve much traveling for me.

Buy and hide your guns!
Yup that is what Obama has done for the economy so far besides pushing Bush to release some more funds in a rebate or tax break. I'm not sure why people are buying guns but it happened last when Clinton took office. I personally don't think that the president elect will do much to our gun controls, not more regulation but more enforcement I think is needed. Anyway I don't have much to say because if I did want to say something i'd call you.

I'll tell you where to stick it...
I picked up World of Goo last week. If you know anyone who has a Wii, tell them to get the game. It's one of the down loadable games there. I got the PC version of it, and having a blast. If Tim Burton was a game designer, he might have made World of Goo. The game is simple, you stack balls of goo into chains to form towers, bridges, and other structures to reach a pipe at the end of th level. The pipe collects the goo balls to the World of Goo Corporation. That's where you can use the extra balls collected to build the biggest tower that you can into the sky. It's a global meta game where I'm playing against others to see how high you can go. I had 19.6 meters tower before it collapsed upon itself. So right now I'm 11m tall right now with several goo balls left to use.
