Phrank: Video game story time!

So it's been a couple of days since I played KoL, but it was good, I needed a break. I've gotten very busy organizing the news publishing team for KoL Coldfront over the past few days. As far as school goes, I've got kind of a weird schedule. I only go to class five times a week, over the course of three days. 2 classes Tuesday, 2 classes Wednesday evening, 1 class Thursday. I spend my weekends back in North Attleboro, working my summer job even though it's no longer summer.

This picture is a cute summation of a game I've played several times, Mark and I spent a good half-hour when he first showed it to me identifying all the people in it. If you've played the game, it's incredible. If you haven't, well, at least it's cute. In case you're wondering, the game is Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. Very cool world-immersion RPG.

Bill, you didn't post again this week. Is something up or did you just forget? I think we may have to convene the tribunal of punishment, and see if a punishment is in order.

Fall is swiftly descending on us, siblings, so please share with the rest of us: what is your favorite thing about fall/autumn

A picture! It's the cast of Torchwood and Avenue Q- with lightsabers!

Not much to report on my end. Still waiting to hear about the job, current job still sucks. Mostly, I've just been tired. I feel like I'm at work all the time, and on my day off, I just want to lay in bed until my feet stop hurting.

Sorry, I don't mean to whine. Things will get better, one way or another. Just... pray that they get better sooner rather than later, ok?

Grash always did look a bit like me.

GRASH, The Steel Champion

--------------------------------------------------
I promised that I'd post this image a few weeks ago... Here's the image that will be on the card I created. Yes, it's my face... I gave the artist a 3 images to use as a reference. That with the pose that I liked... BANG! He nailed it big time! If you've been wondering what was on my MYSPACE page... this is it. One thing that's different from my original concept is the more of an interglactic flair to the character. This fits in better with the game. And makes for an interestng Hollween costume. I already have the crowbar. I did Gordon Freeman last year.

The game that image was made for is called Champions of the Galaxy. It's a very established game (been around about over 20 years now!). I'm going in to the "Promoter Madness 3" set. This is a set of cards made by the fans. Granted, I had just started playing when I got the honor!

One of the game sets for Champions has rules for MMA. That's that UFC fighting that's popular. Anyways, I sat down this weekend and started to code a simulator for MMA fights. I've written a few pages of code already. For the simulation side, I'm missing one or two minor rules and 3 major charts. Once I have that done, I'll be working on an interface to make it easy to create fighters. Once that is ready, I'll be a hop skip to set up the interface to use that data to simulate fights.

Oh, yea... I'll be writing up a MMA version of Grash. Just need to make stats to package with the simulator.
