Quick Post

They're finally over! No more midterms!! So tonight I have a few things I want to touch base on but I don't have time to write it all down. I'm going to the coffee house later so I was worried I'd forget to post when I get back. But if I do remeber then I can fix this post so it's more..juicy? Is that the word I'm looking for? I have no idea.
Yay Frank! Taking MTELS that's super exciting, good luck!
Also congrats to Greg and Jess are some of the most cutest photos! I saw them on facebook :D
Go Bill for buying some "pimpin' " (that's right I quoted him!) outfits when he went shopping.
Go Anne for her new d and d game I want to hear about that!
ok so bye for now!
p.s our blog picture isn't the obama logo is it? It's pepsi right? I thought it was obama's but I think it might actually be pepsi's. Anyone know?

Frank: Dokapon Kingdom! and MTELs!

So I acquired Dokapon Kingdom last Saturday, and it's pretty fun. I think it'd be a lot more fun to play with people than CPUs, since they have absurdly good luck. Also, they don't screw each other over as much as they mess with me. But the game delivers everything promised, though it moves slower than I imagined. However, the turn based style makes it easy to keep playing, long after you meant to stop.

Earlier this week, I registered to take the MTEL. MTEL stands for Massachussetts Tests for Educator Licensure, and I can't teach without a license. I'm gonna go for English 8-12 grade license and probably teach for the next couple of years. I really enjoy teaching, and every chance I've gotten to teach, I always do well. I would love to get published and become a novel writer, but teaching will give me time and motivation to earn my master's degree and I think I would eventually want to become an English professor at a liberal arts institution. That's all much further down the line of course. I'll be taking my test on March 7th.

I found an awesome conservative blog I would like to add to our blog friends/blogs we can check from the dashboard, but I don't want to upset anyone or expose this blog to unprovoked nasty commenting. I know people associated with the blog and don't want to be embarrassed or embarrass my friends. Perhaps we can discuss this over the next week or so, and I would gladly welcome a liberal blog to be added to keep things fair and balanced.

I implore the rest of you to consider a rules change. I speak for myself, but I believe there's a similar sentiment among other members of the blog that posting is a chore and brings up a lot of negative memories. We need to reinvent the blog in a way that makes it more fun for everyone. We can't accomplish that under the current system. As Greg pointed out, double commenting is against the blog rules and was violated last week. However, that rule was put in place to prevent spiteful spamming, and in the spirit of the rule, I chose to comment twice when I had something else to say. Especially since we can't edit our comments, it's really annoying to want to add something and have to risk being punished. This is an excellent example of something we should change. If there's a valid discussion in the comments, why let a rule get in the way? CARTHAGO DELENDA EST!

Ta Da!

Ok! So I liked the idea of all of us making CD's. But posting the challenge then disabling comments was NOT COOL. A little to "Blog Ghost". But I still want to make everyone CD's! So I'll be doing that. No promises on when it'll get done, but it's on my List.

I'm going to Amherst, and getting the best wings in the world!!!!! Be jealous peons, that you are not me!

Things are going well. I have this WICKED AMAZING AWESOME idea for a D'n'D game, so I might try running one. I'll start with some pre-mades, I think. Just to figure out what the hell I'm doing. Then I'll start getting into my real campaign. But I'm very excited about this! I'm thinking a game every 1-2 weeks, so we can accommodate different schedules.

I think that's about it.

For Bill: I have 7 books left to download.

And for your listening enjoyment- I'm currently obsessed with this song.

OMG!!!!

Ok so two things happend tpday that rarly happen. One happens every 4 or 8 years most of the time and the other happens about once a year.

First of all I went shopping for clothes, I don't like doing it but I end up looking good and most things were on sale. So I supported the economy and are looking good, not bad.

Second was that Barack Obama was sworn in as president. Once again a peaceful transition of power, good for us. And here is a stat for you 1.9 million people to see (unofficial- just what I saw on ABC news) and 0 arrests. Now that is a good start. While I did not vote for this president and do not support all of his views I did not support all of McCain's views. But he did win, he has a tough road ahead and will back him as our leader. My fear is not for him but for the hole that he steps in and if the job he does is not enough, will it ruin the Democratic party for the next 20 years? I think the job he will do will be good, but will good cut it for most Amercians?

PS it snowed again and it is offical, i hate snow.

Maybe later...

Bill pointed out to me yesterday, that Jess and him commented twice on a post. That breaks, a rule... But I can be a flaming brown starfish and it's all okay. That's a problem. It's a problem that I can't think about the blog without a negative rush over me.

I might come back later and write a post later.
