Yup that is what Obama has done for the economy so far besides pushing Bush to release some more funds in a rebate or tax break. I'm not sure why people are buying guns but it happened last when Clinton took office. I personally don't think that the president elect will do much to our gun controls, not more regulation but more enforcement I think is needed. Anyway I don't have much to say because if I did want to say something i'd call you.

bite me.
Thanks for the warning, but I got my rifle when I was 16 ( a birthday present and a graduation gift for completing the hunter safety course fish and game requires). Then when I went to Hesser to get my Law Enforcement degree, my dad got me a 22 and a 9 mm. And yes, I have the state required carry and conceal permit, and no, I am not packing heat in Manchester. Other than the shooting range, no discharge of firearms in city limits.
That's why I keep them in Weare, with my dad's gun collection!
but I doubt Obama is going to do anything about guns, he has bigger fish to fry.
Mark has guns, and is very knowledgeable about them and their regulation. So you could have a great conversation with Mark about guns, Jessie.
Jessie, I think you are right. There are bigger things he needs to worry about and I don't think he'll do anything unless he needs to. It's just strange he can say nothing about a subject and everyone goes nuts.
Well, it's not that he didn't say anything. The NRA was sending me flyers about how he's going to take our rights away. etc, etc, they did it for Hilary Clinton too......there's a lot of un-back propaganda going around, and a lot of NRA members believe what the NRA says. When I took a class on con-law, they taught us that in the constitution it say we technically only have the right to bear arms in the event of the US being attacked. So in a sense we do not have the right ot bear arms. and i know i'm spelling that wrong ;-P
I don't know a whole lot about guns, just what i was taught in school and from my dad (who's a collector). But I do enjoy shooting,my brother and I used to go often, and I guess that's because I'm kinda a hick. Someday I'll show you all where I grew up and you'd understand.
And Greg.....that's not nice!
From U.S. Constitution the website, the second amendment is
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
The amendment was written so that the American people would have the tools to resist government oppression.
