I like how Bill called me a wise man in his post. I also liked how he copied and pasted Anne's original post for his own. Greg, where's the post? These are our precious final posts, so don't bail on us quite yet. If I have to bail you out, I will.
So I resumed watching Brotherhood 2.0 recently, and it's good. Though, all the videos of John Greene sitting around writing make me feel like I should be a writer. I would love to sit in my house all day and just write. That would be awesome. I guess I'm learning there are two distinct processes in the creation of a novel. The initial part, the writing, is something I'm good at. The other key part, revision, I am terrible at. However, I'm thinking that revision will be fun in its own way, taking a meandering story and reshaping it into a cohesive entity. As I enter into another revision of my manuscript, I have a few major changes to simplify and unify the story. It's tough, to make changes to a story that I really enjoy and think is perfectly fine the way it is, but that's how the process works. So I'm looking forward to doing more writing and revising in the near future.
I'm taking the MTELs on Saturday, as much as I want to be a writer, teaching looks to be my immediate future.
