Jessie: Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's day everyone. Well, technically it's Sunday. Greg and I had comapany over for dinner Sat night, so I'm posting late.
Our company was my co-worker, Jackie. I made dinner..... roasted duck, stuffed mushrooms, cheese and broccoli, cheese souffles, chocolate covered strawberries and peanut butter-cup brownies. Well, actually Greg covered the strawberries.
Today I went and picked up the dress! I also got one for my friend's wedding that's coming up. A wine coloured little number that goes for $115. Though, since I love the clearance rack, I only paid $30 for it.
I'm making beans in the crock pot. I've had multiple requests for them, so I threw some in, and now the whole hallway smells like beans and pork!
This week is going to be busy, Monday I work 7-3, and I just know I'm not going to get enough sleep, I never do. It should be easy, being double pay (it's a holiday ;-)), the facility runs on weekend staffing.
So, I need to run off to get some beauty sleep, and since it's a number thing... here's the staffing for Monday , Anne:

Unit A1.... 2 nurses, 6 LNAs, 1 unit aide
Unit A2.....2 nurses, 5 LNAs, 1 unit aide
Unit B2......2 nurses, 5 LNAs, 1 unit aide
Unit ELU....1 nurse, 3 LNAs, 0 unit aide
Unit CRU....2 nurses, 2 LNAs, 0 unit aide
Unit C3......2 nurses, 5 LNA, 1 unit aide
Unit C4......2 nurses, 5 LNAs (one of them being me!!!), 1 unit aide.

There's your numbers.... unless we have call-outs or a pandemic!!!!!

just stuff

Hi guys. I'll be honest and tell you I'm writing this on Sunday, but dating it to Saturday. Maybe once spring comes, I'll get it all together. Every week, I get a cold or the flu or something. Gregory seems to have some super-immunity genes or something. He hardly gets sick. So this week it was the flu. I'm almost up to par today.
I got my wedding dress. It was going out of style, so I bought it right on the spot. It's a size smaller than I normally take, but fits very well. There's pictures on facebook (don't worry, Greg can't see any of them because he's blocked!!)
I did make a cake yesterday. It is a rum cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I got an electric hand mixer, and it makes things sooo much easier.
So that's it for now. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Same old, same old

Well, nothing really new everyone! I feel better, due to the fact that I've had a cough and congestion since New Year's eve. Tomorrow is a new month, one month closer to spring.
Tomorrow I am going wedding dress shopping with my mother. I think it's more of a bonding/quality time experience.

So, about the Obama enviromental plan...
Well, I'm all for going green and preserving what we haven't ruined yet. I agree with Liz though, fix the friggin' economy first! Prioritize Mr. President! Also, I'm not just saying that because both of my parents are looking at a layoff in the next month. My dad is almost positive that he won't get laid off, because he's the only certified American-Lafrance (fire engines) painter in the area. Also. he has large ties to PSNH, and often gets jobs repairing the trucks and painting them, which brings a lot of money to the company he works for. If you don't know, my dad is a welder/fabricator/painter (and my favorite mechanic).
My mom works for GE. She makes airplane parts. She welds parts together and says it's boring, but it pays well. She was one of the last people hired over the last 5 years ( I think she's been there that long). So she'll be almost the first to go.
My brother drives a truck for motorstar tires. He is also a voulenteer firefighter and EMT. He hopes the "voulenteer" part doesn't last to long, but until he can take the test, he is looking into working for the state again in the DOT as a truck driver and plow the snow (the hours are crazy when it snows, but last year he makde almost $2000 a week!)
My sister is a pastry chef. She works at CR Sparks. She is feeling the pinch, since they cut her hours. It's her first official job after graduating college.
And me, well I work in healthcare, so I'm ok right now. I'd like to advance, but that'll have to wait until i can pay my bills down and get settled.

And I know I kinda rambled on and on, sorry!
