So Mom writes a tweet-sized status update today on Facebook:
"boarding pass-printed; flip flops, shorts, bathing suit and Red Sox Tee- packed; spring training here I come!"

Outside my window as I write this, it is snowing. New England is getting another smack to the face of whiteout. And as I see the whiteness swirl out side, The words "I hate you." flash in my flu-like-sickened mind.

Well, the good news is at least baseball is getting started. And I can at least be happy for that. And an excuse to post Tessie on the blog.

Who Watches the Sox Win?

Sox just won with a close play at the plate.

I picked up the Watchmen trade back.
(a volume of all 12 issues for the non comic type)
I'm reading one chapter at a time.
The book is highly lauded so it more like reading The Great Gatsby than a normal comic book. So the movie is gonna suck.

Siblings, I have a question for you. What's it like to get punished? I don't know since I've never been punished. Which makes me the only sibling not to miss a post or break any of the rules. The closest I've ever come to violating the rules was a slight debate on swearing. As we conclude the 7th month of posting, it's an honor to be that guy, that guy who follows the rules.

Manny Ramirez got traded today, and it looks like so far that the Red Sox were quite determined to get rid of him. Looks like Hansen and Moss got sucked into this maelstrom of a deal, which I think kinda sucks, I liked watching Moss play. Though this guy, Bay, that we're picking up looks like he'll be really good for the us, so I'm glad. It will be very strange watching the Red Sox and not having Manny being Manny. The comparison of this trade to Nomar's trade in 2004 is interesting. I didn't really watch much baseball back in 2004, so that trade had little impact on me. I remember our cousin Jake Traynor was devastated by it. I wonder what he thinks of the Manny deal.

We've gone too long without a challenge, 2 full weeks, so here's an easy one for next week. Pick the video game you hate the most, and explain why. At least one sentence to identify the game and one sentence elaborating why you hate the game. Please vote in your comment on my post. I'll give you a hint, I will certainly be wright to pick it as my favorite, and this game won't be rising from the ashes of its miserable existence.

Phrank: Awesomeness abound

My book is the Bible, author is the Holy Spirit. To be fair, I'll pick the book of Job, written as a Wisdom book from the Judaic tradition. I think it's one of the most challenging but ultimately one of the most rewarding books of the Bible.

Today in Kingdom of Loathing(KoL) is Arrrbor Day, and the Arrboretum is open. You have the option of sharing the love for Mother Earth and planting saplings in the Arrboretum with the aid of the pirates. The pirates are there to share the love of Mother Earth and definitely aren't planning on cutting down all the planted trees next Arrbor Day for wood to make pirate ships. Yeah, that's the ticket.


I have a job, but due to Company policy, I am not allowed to state what company I am now working for. I'm looking forward to getting back to work, and earning some fat stacks of cash.

The Red Sox got swept by the team formerly known as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. I've caught baseball fever and am really into watching the Red Sox lately.

Offints Morrialeg Gutturess!

Last Friday was Teen night at the planetarium on campus. The Planetarium is a huge dome which we project onto. We had 4 screens going. Each one with 4 players on Halo3. You've never really played (for me, get your behind handed to) Halo3 until you've played it on a screen size measured in feet. Scaling of this magnitude isn't an issue. It's a scale by virtue of going through a lens and not a digital zoom. Well, We came up short on games. So, I am the happy owner of three (yes, 3) copies.

I am still reading Persuasive Games, and I have a presentation to give tomorrow. I have to put together a power point another one by the 25th for a China conference. So no short story yet. I'm having a problem getting the story right without writing a novel. I may pick something else and do it later.

Dice-K is pitched against the Yanks last night. He's been on fire so far already this season. Dunkin has a special running. When the Sox win: the next day starting at 11am the next day, if you buy one of their flatbread sandwiches or pizzas, you can get an ice tea or coffee for free. The food just recently got a great review from the Phantom Gourmet... I got the turkey one this weekend, a bit of mustard would have been make it awesome though.
