A Reflection on Memorial Day

My grandfather entered into the Air Force as America went to war against Japan and Germany. He worked his way to a role as a navigator on a bomber. Knowing him, he did whatever he could to get that position. Thankfully, the war would end before he saw combat. I still don't believe that he's gone. So Memorial Day is a bit hard this year.

This week is going to be interesting. I'm revamping one of the classes I teach now that I have an idea what I need to do as a teacher. I'll also find out what the school will reimburse for travel to North Carolina. Heck, if I get free parking at Manchester-Boston, I'd be happy.

There's a short story - children's story competition open for New Hampshire residents. I have two ideas that I'd like to try to develop. The first one is "Where the wind blows". I recently saw a old science video made by IBM called the "Powers of Ten". The video is on youtube here. The site is science - oriented place, so if there's any science content in either story, I should be okay.

Yea, I was late last week. Frank managed to tell me past midnight I hadn't posted. I'm curious what my siblings are going to ask me to do.

Greg, I figured the jeep out. It's not only jealous that you try to steal my attention from it, but it knows the truth..... that you, Greg, are a closet YANKEES fan....yes, you're secret is out!
Tonight I'll sleep in my Ortiz tee and pray that you can be converted to the Sox before it's too late.

I can let the late post go unpunished, particularly given what last week was like. Closet Yankees fan though, this calls for the worst punishment ever!
